It Takes A Village: Building Coalitions

The collaborative innovation WebStudy Foundation provides to the learn/earn ecosystem, may include educational providers, employers, learners, government agencies, philanthropists, and front-line educators.

Let’s look at Why these stakeholder groups need to form coalitions, partnerships, stakeholder groups, consortia, collaborative networks and interdisciplinary teams.

THE CHALLENGE - Talent Shortage

A new Korn Ferry report finds that by 2030, more than 85 million jobs could go unfilled because there aren’t enough skilled people to take them. It is estimated as an $8.5 trillion talent shortage.
The Bureau of Labor Services is set to add 11.9 million jobs through 2030, a projected 7.8% increase. This would equate to a U.S. employment growth from 153.5 million to 165.4 million from 2020 to 2030.

In January, 2024 the unemployment rate was 3.7 percent for the third month in a row, and the number of unemployed people had little change at 6.1 million. The labor force participation rate, at 62.5 percent, was unchanged in January, 2024.
